This site provides music for Divine Worship, the liturgy authorised by Pope Francis for the three Ordinariates created by his predecessor Pope Benedict XVI.

The Book of Common Prayer Noted
The Ordinariates allow Anglicans to enter into the full communion of the Catholic Church, while retaining elements of their heritage which are in keeping with the faith. Marbecke and More will focus on the riches of plainsong as used by Anglicans, and now the Ordinariates.
The site is named for John Merbecke, organist of St George’s Chapel, Windsor, who in 1550 published simple, syllabic chants for the 1549 Book of Common Prayer. His work played a significant role in the Anglican plainsong revival of the 19th and 20th centuries. It is an important element of the Ordinariates’ musical patrimony, though as I hope to show, not by any means the only such.
This site is entirely unofficial, with no claim to authorisation by any of the Ordinariates. I am simply a musician fortunate enough to be involved in celebration of Divine Worship in a small Ordinariate group in England, and hope that what I share might help others.
Finally, the site is a permanent work in progress. Feel free to get in touch to suggest items I might add, or to offer practical help.
